2023 (Junior): Competed in all six races on the season…Placed 183rd at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional with a time of 23:39.2 (11/10)…Rounded out the Penguins’ scoring effort at the Horizon League Championships with a time of 23:07.2 to finish 42nd (10/28)...Clocked a personal-best 6k time of 22:58.2 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational(10/13)…Was the Penguins’ second-finisher at the Bill Lennox Invite, finished 14th with a time of 23:29 (10/7)…Clocked a 5k time of 19:45.6 at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (9/29)…Logged a 6k time of 24:58.5 at the season-opening Penn State Spiked Shoe Invite (9/8).
2022 (Sophomore): Made four appearances…Finished 50th at the Horizon League Championships with a season-best 6k time of 23:56.6 (10/29)…Clocked a 24:04.5 in the 6k at the Penn State National Open (10/14)…Finished the open race at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 19:58.6 (9/30)…Ran a 6k time of 25:22.5 at the Penn State Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational (9/9).
2021 (Freshman): Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a XC AAC Individual Champion, XC AAC Runner of the Year...Voted "Best Newcomer" and "Most Dedicated" by cross country team...Boardman High School record holder in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) and the 4x1600m in track & field.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Sara and Alan Cuevas Sr....Has three siblings - Alan Cuevas Jr., Yolanda and Cecilia Velazquez...Brother (Alan) and Sister (Cecilia) attended YSU...academic interest is mechanical engineering.
OTHER: Is the 2023-24 recipient of the Melanie and Maggie Sosnowski Memorial Scholarship endowment.
