2025 (Sophomore): Named the Horizon League Men's Freshman of the Year and named to the Men's All-League First Team...Was named #HLXC Runner of the Week on Sept. 30 and Horizon League Men's Freshman of the week twice (9/30 and 10/21)...Competed in six races...Led the Penguins at the Horizon League Championship, placing fourth with an 8K time of 23:55.7 (11/1)...Was one of seven Penguins to compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships, where he clocked a personal-best 10K time of 34:01.8 (11/14)...Won the YSU Cross Country Meet with an 8K course-record time of 25:18.7 (9/27)...Made collegiate debut at the Mastodon XC Alumni Open with a personal-best 5K time of 16:51.6 (9/6)...Ran a personal-best 8K time of 23:38.9 at the Joe Piane Invitational (10/3)

2024 (Freshman): Did not compete.

High School: Concluded his high school career with a third-place finish at the 2023 PIAA 2A State XC Championships... He ran a personal best time of 15:11.8 in the 5K at the Mingo Classic on October 12, 2023... Burgos also competed in the PIAA 2A State Championships as a junior, placing 15^th.
