Opening Kick
• The Youngstown State women's soccer team celebrates its 30th Anniversary and its 31st season when the 2026 campaign commences against Atlantic Coast Conference member Pittsburgh, Wednesday, Aug. 12.
• Kickoff against the Panthers is set for 7 p.m. at Ambrose Urbanic Field in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The Matchup
• This is the third meeting between Youngstown State and Pittsburgh and the first in 19 years.
• The all-time series is tied, 1-1, and dates back to Youngstown State's inaugural season in 1996.
• The Panthers defeated the Penguins in the last meeting, 2-0, on Aug. 31, 2007, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
• Youngstown State won the first meeting between two programs, 1-0, on Sept. 15, 1996, in Youngstown, Ohio.
Penguins vs. The ACC
• The Penguins' matchup against the Panthers is just the third time in program history and the first since 2021 that Youngstown State has squared off against an opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
• Youngstown State faced Wake Forest in 2021 and NC State in 2004.
• The Penguins own a 0-2 record against opponents from the ACC.

Tough Slate
Youngstown State Head Coach Rich Wall loaded up the non-league portion of the schedule for the second straight season with teams from the American, ACC, Big Ten, and SEC along with teams from the Atlantic-10, Atlantic Sun, Mid-American Conference, and the Patriot League.
Guins Have Experience
Youngstown State returns 19 letterwinners and six starters from last year's squad that finished third in the Horizon League with a 6-2-2 conference mark, and the Penguins added 16 newcomers, including five transfers, for the upcoming campaign.
Scoring Threats Return
Last season, the Penguins posted the most goals scored (29), assists (24), and points (82) against an exclusively Division I schedule in program history. Youngstown State returns its top four scorers and 82.8 percent of its goals scored, 66.7 percent of its assists, and 78 percent of its total points scored from that squad.
HL Preseason Poll
Youngstown State was picked to finish third in the 2026 Under Armour Horizon League Preseason Poll. The Penguins accumulated 103 points, and Milwaukee was tabbed as the Horizon League preseason favorite 142 points
Banner 2025 Season
The 2025 Youngstown State women's soccer season was one that saw records shattered and team and individual accomplishments never achieved in program history. The Penguins finished the campaign with an overall record of 8-10-2 and a 6-2-2 mark in the Horizon League. Youngstown State finished a program-best third in the Horizon League standings, and the six league victories were the most in program history.

Three All-League Performers are Back
The Penguins return three of their five all-conference performers from last season. Senior forward Sara Felder, senior midfielder Camille Bultel and sophomore forward Kamryn Rosa all return for the Penguins. The trio combined to score 19 of the Penguins 29 goals and tallied nine of the team's 24 assists last season.
Felder Among Scoring Leaders
Senior Sara Felder has scored 11 goals in 38 career games played and ranks tied for eighth on the Youngstown State all-time goals scored list. She also has scored 25 total points and needs four more to move into a tie for 10th place.
Rosa Rising
Sophomore Kamryn Rosa posted one of the best freshman campaigns in school history during the 2025 season. Rosa posted seven goals with two assists for 16 total points. Her seven goals were tied for the third most by a YSU freshman and the most since 2011. Rosa's 16 points rank tied for third on the freshman list and are the most since 2010.
The French Connection
Senior Camille Bultel turned in an impressive first season at Youngstown State in 2025. Bultel was named All-Horizon League Third Team after scoring four goals with four assists for 12 points.
Four in Doubles=School Best
Last year, four different players scored at least 10 points in season for the first time in program history. Senior Sara Felder led the team with 19 points while Kamryn Rosa poured in 16 points. Camille Bultel and Baylee Williams added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Williams Posted Solid Rookie Campaign
Sophomore Baylee Williams turned in outstanding freshman campaign in 2025. Williams appeared in all 20 games and made a pair of starts. She tallied four goals with two assists for 10 total points. Williams was credited with 15 shots and 11 shots on goal.
