Opening Kick
The Youngstown State women's soccer heads back on the road and starts a two-game road swing through the state of Michigan beginning with a matchup against Oakland, Thursday, Oct. 1. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Oakland Soccer Field in Rochester, Mich. and the game will be aired on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
Youngstown State scored a season-high three goals in a 3-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Sept. 27 at Farmers National Bank Field. Camille Bultel scored a goal and tallied an assist while Sara Felder and Baylee Williams also recorded goals. Kamryn Rosa and Ghita Haouzi were each credited with assists. Junior goalkeeper Kendall Sears posted the first shutout of her career while facing seven shots from the Mastodons.
First Shutout Since 2025
With their 3-0 clean sheet against the Mastodons, the Penguins posted their first shutout since a 3-0 win over South Carolina State on Oct. 19, 2025.
Guins Seek Best HL Start in Program History
Youngstown State is going for its best start in Horizon League play in program history. With a win over the Golden Grizzlies, the Penguins will begin conference play 3-0-1 for the first time since joining the league in 2001.
About Oakland
Oakland enters the game with an overall record of 1-7-1 and a 0-3 mark in Horizon League action. The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a 1-0 loss at Green Bay on Sept. 27. Four different players have scored a goal for Oakland.
The Oakland Series
This is the 22nd meeting between Youngstown State and Oakland in a series dating back to 1998. The Golden Grizzlies lead the all-time series, 16-2-3, and won the last meeting, 1-0, in the 2025 Horizon League Quarterfinals. The Penguins won the regular season matchup., 3-0, at Farmers National Bank Field on Oct. 16, 2025. Youngstown State's other win over the Golden Grizzlies was a 1-0 victory at Farmers National Bank Field in 2014. The Penguins have never won at Oakland in 10 games (0-9-1). The lone draw was a 1-1 tie in 2022.
Felder Named POW
Senior Sara Felder was named the Under Armour Horizon League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Sept. 28. This is the first weekly award of Felder's career, and the first time a Youngstown State player has won the offensive award since Tatum Gretz earned the honor in 2024. Felder's selection marks the 10th time a Youngstown State player was named the offensive player of the week. Felder led the Penguins to a 1-0-1 record last week with a win over Purdue Fort Wayne and tie against Cleveland State. She recorded an assist against the Vikings and scored the game-winning goal against the Mastodons. Felder posted seven shots against Cleveland State and added four more against Purdue Fort Wayne.
Rosa Loving the League
Sophomore Kamryn Rosa continues her love of playing against Horizon League opponents. With her goal against Cleveland State, Rosa scored in each of the first two Horizon League contests this season. Rosa was credited with an assist on the game-winning goal against Purdue Fort Wayne on Sept. 27, extending her scoring streak to three games. She has scored nine goals during her career. Eight of those goals came in 13 Horizon League contests, including her game-winner against Northern Kentucky on Sept. 19.
The French Connection
Senior Camille Bultel, an All-Horizon League Third Team pick in 2025 after scoring four goals with four assists for 12 points, has been instrumental for the Penguins this season. Although appearing in just six games, Bultel has scored a goal and dished out three assists for five total points. The Penguins have scored at least one goal in each of the six games she has appeared and she has tallied at least one point in three of those contests.
To the Haouzi
Sophomore Ghita Haouzi has been the Penguins top scorer this season with a team-best seven points. Haouzi has scored two goals and is tied for the team lead with three assists. Her last two assists have come on game-winning goals by Kamryn Rosa (NKU) and Sara Felder (PFW). She scored the most improbable goal of her young career. Haouzi's goal at the 87:50 mark against Duquesne tied the game at 1-1 and pushed the Penguins to a draw. Youngstown State trailed 1-0 for 83:19 before her score.
Williams Notches First Goal of 2026
Sophomore Baylee Williams, who turned in outstanding freshman campaign in 2025, got in the scoring column with her first goal of the season against Purdue Fort Wayne. Williams, who now has five career goals, appeared in all 20 games last season and made a pair of starts. She tallied four goals with two assists for 10 total points. Williams was credited with 15 shots and 11 shots on goal.
Felder Moving Up Charts
Sara Felder now ranks tied for fourth on the Youngstown State career goals list with 13, and she ranks tied for seventh with 30 total points. The last player to score at least 13 goals was Allison Ludwig from 2010-13.
