2019 (R-Freshman): Made eight starts and six relief appearances on the mound… Served as a primary midweek starter for a majority of the season… Finished with a 1-3 record and an 11.57 ERA in 37.1 innings… Ranked second on the team with 44 strikeouts while issuing 40 walks… Posted a team-high 10.61 K/9… 44 strikeouts were the most by a YSU freshman since 2016 and only two freshmen in the Horizon League had more in 2019… Pitched 7.1 innings in three relief appearances during league play… Finished with a 13.50 ERA, seven strikeouts and six walks during league action… Did not make an error in five chances in the field and was credited with five assists… Did not allow a hit and struck out four batters over four scoreless innings of relief at Northern Kentucky (3/17)… Retired the first seven batters he faced and 12 of 14 overall… Allowed one run on only two hits and matched his season high with six strikeouts over a season-high six innings in a no-decision against Ohio (4/23)… Allowed just five base runners and blanked the Bobcats over the first five innings… Surrendered only one hit over five shutout innings and fanned five in his first collegiate victory against Eastern Michigan (5/1)… Permitted two runs on three hits and notched six strikeouts over four innings vs. Kent State (4/3)… Also recorded six punch outs in five innings of work against Ohio State (5/14).
2018 (Freshman): Missed the season with an injury… Redshirted.
High School: Earned three letters… Ranked the 57th overall prospect in Ohio by Prep Baseball Report... Named second-team all-league his sophomore year... Followed that up with a 3.00 ERA his junior year in 35 innings... Also threw a no-hitter as a junior... Played for the Midland Braves during summer ball... Pitched to a 1.60 ERA in the summer of 2016.
Personal: Parents are Jon and Jennifer… Has a sister (Jessica) and a brother (Anthony)… Major is exercise science/pre-physical therapy... Recipient of the 2021-22 Stephen Bartolin, Sr. Scholarship.
