Alliance, Ohio – The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field team collected four event wins at the Mount Union Classic which was held on Wednesday and Thursday at Kehres Stadium.
Winning events were Lea Parham (100m Hurdles), Micah Mitchell (110m Hurdles), Caleigh Richards (steeplechase) and Alan Austin (discus).
Early on Thursday evening, the event was cancelled due to potential weather with a few events remaining.
The three running event titles featured career-best performances by Parham, Mitchell and Richards.
Parham won her race with a time of 13.60 seconds. Her time moved her up to second in program history just 0.07 seconds behind the school record. She won her race by almost a second. In the prelims, Ava Littler clocked a career-best time of 14.24 seconds before placing second in the finals.
Mitchell won the 110m hurdles, clocking a career-best time of 13.83 seconds. His previous best time was 13.84 seconds.
Richards won the steeplechase with a career-best time of 11:07.84. She took first place by 51 seconds.
Austin won the discus with a throw of 52.43m.
In the 400m hurdles, Michael Ballone came in second with a time of 52.36 seconds.
In the men's hammer throw, Levi Glassmeyer was second at 52.86m while Dominic Brown was third (52.28m) and JaMeire Robinson finished fourth.
In the women's shot put, Maggie Goodlin was second with a throw of 13.44m.
