The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field teams had a busy and productive two days over the course of Friday and Saturday.
Winning events at three different meets were Karis McElhaney (Jud Logan Light Giver Open), Caedon Trotter (Doug Raymond Invitational) and Connor Durig (Michigan Invitational).
Also on Saturday, assistant coach Eric Rupe and former thrower Danielle Curry were enshrined into the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame.
The Penguins have one more weekend of action before hosting the Horizon League Championships later this month in the WATTS.
Doug Raymond Invitational
Ava Reeves was second in the 60m dash with a personal-best time of 7.56 seconds. That time moves her into eight all-time in school history in the event. Reeves was also third in the 200m with a personal-best time of 24.89 seconds. Tori Atkins took fifth in the 200m with a time of 25.02 seconds.
Melody Harloff was third in the Elite 400m with a time of 56.67 seconds.
In the 60m hurdles, Lea Parham placed second with a time of 8.52 seconds, which ties her personal best in the race. Placing sixth was Ava Littler with a time of 8.85 seconds.
Trotter won the 200m dash with a personal-best time of 21.38 seconds. That was a top personal performance by almost 0.60 seconds and move him into fourth position in school history all-time.
Micah Mitchell notched a second-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.06 seconds in the finals. The top three runners were separated by 0.03 seconds.
In the 400m dash, Shamir Rose placed third with a time of 49.34 seconds.
Michigan Invitational
Connor Durig won the 400m dash with a personal-best time of 48.71 seconds. Durig won the race in heat six alongside just one other runner.
In the women's weight throw, Jaylynn King had a top throw of 17.63m while Grace Sparks had a toss of 17.62m. In the men's weight throw, Ryan Tetrick had a best toss of 17.64m while Dominic Brown had a top heave of 17.32m.
Kalli Knoble had an indoor best mark of 1.65m in the high jump and finished fourth in the event. She added a top leap of 11.01m in the triple jump.
Kaitlyn Eger had a career-best clearance of 3.98m in the pole vault which earned her a sixth place finish. For the men, Lukas Lang notched a personal-best with a clearance of 5.11m in the pole vault and finished fourth.
YSU took third and fourth in the men's long jump. Placing third was Brayden Green with leap of 6.94m while Isaiah Barker was fourth at 6.78m. Noah Crozier and Barker each cleared 1.65m in the high jump.
Jud Logan Light Giver Open
McElhaney won the 800m with a time of 2:15.80. She finished first by almost a second.
In the women's mile, the Guins had four of the top 10 finishers. Leading the way was Lillian Katsaras with a time of 5:04.86 to finish fourth while placing fifth right behind was Megan Stafford who ran a time of 5:05.66.
Maggie Hopple added a fifth-place performance in the 3,000m with a time of 10:08.87.
YSU had three men compete in the mile.

The Penguins will host the YSU Last Chance meet presented by Southwoods Health on Friday at the WATTS. Select distance runners will head to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
