Louisville, Ky. – Brandon Hutchinson scored 5,088 points in the heptathlon becoming just the second individual in program history to eclipse the 5K mark in the event at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by Louisville at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

In the seven events, Hutchinson set personal bests in the high jump (1.88m), 60m dash (7.01 seconds) and long jump (7.25m). His previous best score in the multi-event was 4,766 points.

The only other Penguin to eclipse over 5,000 in the two-day event was Tim Holzapfel during the Horizon League Championships on Feb. 25-26, 2017.

Other highlights from the two-day meet include Brayden Green advancing to the finals in the triple jump and having a best leap of 14.49m. Noah Crozier and Connor Durig each cleared 2.03m in the high jump.
