Columbus, Ohio -- Neeranuch Prajunpanich of the Youngstown State women's golf team finished her historic sophomore season at the NCAA Columbus Regional, which concluded on Wednesday from the OSU Golf Club's Scarlet Course.
Prajunpanich finished tied for 41st on the individual leaderboard with a three-round score of 227 (73-79-75) in her first appearance at the NCAA Regionals. The Samut Prakan, Thailand, native became the first individual in program history to advance to the NCAA Regionals after winning individual medalist honors at the 2025 Horizon League Women's Golf Championship on April 21.
Prajunpanich fired a one-over-par 73 in the first round on Monday that featured 12 pars and three birdies. The sophomore shot a one-under-par 35 on the front nine during the opening round of play.
Prajunpanich turned in a round of 79 in the second session on Tuesday while battling heavy rainfall throughout the day. She carded birdies at the par-four No. 7 and the par-five No. 12 during the second round of action.
Prajunpanich concluded the tournament with a three-over-par 75 in the final round on Wednesday that included 11 pars and a pair of birdies. She recorded birdies on the par-four No. 9 and the par-three No. 13 during her final round of the season.
Prajunpanich earned five first-place finishes in 2024-25 to match the school record for wins in a campaign. She joined Jessica Lundblad (1997-98) as the only two players in program history to win five events in a season. Prajunpanich became YSU's first individual league champion since Katlyn Shutt claimed medalist honors at the 2021 HL Championship.
Prajunpanich competed in 12 tournaments and a single-season school record 31 rounds during the 2024-25 campaign. She averaged 74.3 strokes per round, which is tied for the third-lowest single-season scoring average in program history, while recording a low round of 69. Prajunpanich was named the Under Armour Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Week on three occasions during the spring season. She earned seven top 10 finishes while finishing in the top 30 at 11 of 12 events. She was named the Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Year and selected to the All-Horizon League First Team on April 24.
Lyla Louderbaugh of Kansas finished atop the individual leaderboard with a three-round score of 204 (69-70-65).
Kansas finished first in the team standings with a three-round team total of 858 (-6). Arkansas was second with an 861, Ohio State finished third with an 865, UNLV was fourth with an 868 and LSU rounded out the advancing teams with an 882.
