Junior Neeranuch Prajunpanich of the Youngstown State women's golf team has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Thursday.
Prajunpanich, the native of Samut Prakan, Thailand, shared individual runner-up honors to lead the Penguins to a third-place finish in the two-day Howard Lady Bison Intercollegiate, which concluded on Tuesday at Hawkstone Country Club in Gainesville, Fla.
Prajunpanich finished tied for second on the individual leaderboard with a three-round score of 219 (73-73-73) to earn her sixth top five performance in seven stroke-play events this season. The junior, who finished four shots back of first place, fired a two-over-par 73 in the opening round that featured nine pars and four birdies. Prajunpanich's second-round 73 included 15 pars and a birdie on the par-four No. 1 as she carded a bogey-free, even-par 35 on the back nine. She concluded the tournament with a final-round 73 that featured 16 pars.
Prajunpanich collects the fourth weekly Horizon League honor of her career after earning Golfer-of-the-Week recognition three times as a sophomore in 2024-25. The reigning Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Year has continued her stellar play in 2025-26 after putting together a historic sophomore season that featured an individual title at the Horizon League Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Regionals. Prajunpanich earned spots on the All-Horizon League First Team and the Horizon League All-Tournament Team for the second straight season in 2024-25.
Prajunpanich currently leads the Penguins with a 72.5 strokes-per-round average through the first seven stroke-play tournaments of the 2025-26 campaign. She finished in a three-player tie atop the individual leaderboard at seven under par with a two-round score of 137 (67-70) at Clemson's Tiger Classic on Aug. 25 to begin her junior campaign. Prajunpanich fired a career-low and bogey-free round of 64 to finish at eight under par and claim medalist honors by 11 strokes at the YSU Kickoff on Sept. 1. The junior matched the single-round school record of 64 that was set by Katlyn Shutt (2017-21) at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Sept. 4, 2018.
Youngstown State will continue the spring portion of its 2025-26 season on March 30-31 with the EKU Colonel Classic at The University Club at Arlington in Richmond, Ky.
