The Youngstown State women's tennis team is in California to play three matches in three days starting on Wednesday.
YSU (7-5) faces CSUN (4-5) on Wednesday, Long Beach State (7-2) on Thursday and Fullerton (4-4) on Friday.
Wednesday's match at the Matador Tennis Complex is set for 5 p.m. Eastern/2 p.m. Central. Thursday's match against the Beach is scheduled for 5 p.m./2 p.m. at the Rhoades Tennis Center. Friday's tilt against the Titans is set for 4:30 p.m./1:30 p.m. at the Titans Tennis Center.
The Guins were last in action on Feb. 23 when they dropped a 4-0 decision at Michigan State. YSU had won its previous four contests before losing to the Spartans.
This marks the fourth straight year YSU is spending Spring Break in the Los Angeles area for matches.
Julia Marko is 9-2 at No. 1 singles while Lili Minich, Yeseniia Ovcharova, Lorena Cedeno and Ghada Dirninger have all won six singles contests this spring. In doubles, Dirninger and Marko are 7-4, including a mark at 6-3.
Marko enters the week tied with Margarita Sadovnikova for second in school history with 77 career singles victories.
Live scoring will be available for the contest vs. Long Beach State and ioncourt is set to be used by Fullerton.
