The Youngstown State women's tennis team closes out their fall tournament season this week.
YSU's Julia Marko will compete at the 2024 ITA Conference Master's Championships in Rome, Ga., starting on Thursday. Â
The rest of the Penguins will head west to play in the CSUN Fall Invitational at the Matador Tennis Complex in Northridge, Calif., this Friday through Sunday. Marko will join her teammates at the conclusion of her play at the ITA event.
Marko will play William & Mary's Hedda Gurholt in the round of 32 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rome Tennis Center. The winner of the match advances to play the winner of the Gracie Epps (Oklahoma State) vs. Daniela Rivera (ETSU) contest in the round of 16. That contest is slated for 2:30 p.m.
This fall, Marko is 10-3 which leads the Guins in singles wins. Lili Minich has seven singles victories while Lorena Cedeno and Ghada Dirninger each have five.
