YSU Women’s Golf Announces Spring Schedule

The Youngstown State women's golf team will compete in six events from early February to late April during the spring portion of its 2024-25 season. Head Coach Nate Miklos announced the team's complete spring schedule on Thursday.

"We're very excited about our spring schedule," said Miklos. "We have several tournaments that we have played the last few years and will provide us opportunities to compete against great competition. We will be hosting our YSU Spring Invitational for the second straight year at Avalon Lakes. We always enjoy the opportunity to host an event at one of our home facilities. We're also very excited to add Ohio State's Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational to our schedule this spring. That event will be great preparation for the Horizon League Championships as it will be one of the most challenging courses we'll play all season."

The Penguins will begin the spring campaign on Feb. 8-9 with the Columbia Classic at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla. YSU will then travel to Gainesville, Fla., for the Howard University Invitational at Hawkstone Country Club on March 3-4.

Youngstown State will close the month of March by competing in The Julie hosted by Northern Kentucky on March 24-25 at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio. The Penguins will then play host to the YSU Spring Invitational on April 6-7 at Avalon Lakes Golf Course in Warren, Ohio.

YSU's final tournament before the Horizon League Championships will be Ohio State's Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational on April 12-13 at the OSU Golf Club's Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio. The 2025 Horizon League Golf Championships are scheduled for April 19-21 at Mission Inn Resort's El Campeon Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.

The NCAA Regionals will take place May 5-7 at four different host sites including Columbus, Ohio (OSU Golf Club – Scarlet Course), Lexington, Ky. (University Club of Kentucky), Norman, Okla. (Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club) and Golf Canyon, Ariz. (Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club).
