Bowling Green, Ohio – The Youngstown State women's tennis team opened fall tournament play at the BGSU "Dynamic Duo" Fall Invitational this weekend.

The bracket-style tournament featured a doubles match and two singles with the advancing group having to win two of the three contested matches.

YSU picked up three bracket wins in the tournament while combining for eight singles victories and two doubles triumphs.

Newcomer Yeseniia Ovcharova picked up two wins in her collegiate debut earning both victories in three sets.

The Penguins return to action on Sept. 29 at the Western Michigan Invitational.
