Harrisonburg, Va. - Vasilis Vardakis and Joao Garretto picked up singles victories as the Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to James Madison at the East Campus Tennis Courts.
Garretto picked up a 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 victory against Alvaro Arce at No. 2 singles. At No. 1, Vardakis earned a 7-6, 6-2 victory against Stefan Petrovic.
The Dukes won at No. 1 and No. 2 in doubles to earn the point and won the other singles contests in straight sets.
The Penguins (3-3) are next in action on Saturday when they visit Toledo.
