The Youngstown State men's tennis team heads to Cleveland State on Friday night. The match at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion is set for 6 p.m.

The Penguins (11-3 overall, 2-0 Horizon League) picked up road wins at Northern Kentucky and IU Indy last weekend. The Vikings (11-9, 1-1) beat the Norse before dropping a 4-3 decision to the Jaguars.

YSU last defeated the Vikings on April 22, 2023, as CSU has won the last four overall meetings. The Penguins' most recent win in Cleveland was in April 2022.

In singles, YSU went 11-1 last weekend and for the spring is 47-23. Gippet leads the way with 10 victories while Rafael Le Fur has eight and Malo Vernejoul has seven. YSU has nine wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and eight at No. 6 singles.

YSU is set to play five home matches in April prior to the Horizon League Championships, which are at the end of the month.
