Wallace, N.C. - The Youngstown State women's golf team finished 11th at the River Landing Classic which was held on Thursday and Friday at the River Landing Golf Course.
The Penguins had a three-round score of 937 with rounds of 304, 318 and 315. Penn State won the event with a three-round 878. YSU was in eighth place following its opening round 304. Friday's round of 315 tied for the eighth-best team score of the day.
Leading the way for the Guins was Katlyn Shutt who finished 32nd carding a three-round score of 229. Shutt had rounds of 77, 74 and 78 in the event. Finishing in 49th place was Reva Morris who fired a 234. Morris had scores of 75, 82 and 77 in the tournament.
Placing 56th was Courtney Shutt who had a 241 while Christina Cooper and Mia Barchetti tied for 61st with a 243. As individuals, Megan Creger was 66th with a 249 and Haleigh Guerrero was 72nd with a 266.
The Penguins are next in action on March 31-April 1 when they participate in the EKU Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky.
