Greensburg, Pa. -- Youngstown State junior golfer Katie Rogner (Warren, Ohio) has qualified for the 34th United State Women's Amateur Public Links Championship after carding a 75 at Totteridge Golf Club during sectional qualifying.

The 2010 Women's Amateur Publinks Championships will be June 21-26 at The Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

This is the second consecutive year that YSU will be represented at the Publinks. Last year, standout Samantha Formeck competed in the event.

For Rogner, it is the second time she has qualified for a United States Amateur event since she has been part of the YSU program. In August 2008, she placed 143rd at the U.S. Women's Amateur Open Golf Championship held at the Eugene County Club in Oregon.
