Women’s Soccer Names 2026 Team Captains

Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown State women's soccer program has named seniors Emma Berdiner, Camille Bultel and Eva Sunjevaric, and junior Leah Weiland as team captains for the 2026 season, Head Coach Rich Wall announced.
Berdiner, who was named to the 2023 Horizon league All-Freshman Team, has appeared in 31 games with 16 starts during her career.
Bultel was named All-Horizon League Third-Team in 2025 after scoring four goals with four assists for a total of 16 points.
Sunjevaric has appeared in 49 games during her career and scored a goal and has two career assists from her defender position.
Weiland is in her third full season with the Penguins and has started 22 games and made 14 starts during her time. Last season, she was credited with two assists and took 11 shots.
Youngstown State hosts Kent State in the 2026 home opener, Thursday, Aug. 20. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
