Youngstown State's women's track and field team scored in every event on Sunday and won the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championship for the second straight season. The two-day event was held at YSU's Watson and Tressel Training Site.
The Penguins have now won the indoor crown 14 times in their history, and they have won nine of the last 10 conference meets. YSU finished with 165 points, while Milwaukee was second with 123 points. Early in the day, the Guins had a slim 97-93 lead before roaring down the stretch to outdistance the Panthers.
Youngstown State had two individual titles on Sunday, adding to its three on Saturday. Lea Parham set a new program record while winning the 60m hurdles, and McKinley Fielding was the Horizon League mile champion. Tori Atkins also set a school record in the 400m with a time of 55.46 seconds, breaking a record that had stood since 2005, while finishing second in the event.
YSU head coach Brian Gorby was named the Horizon League Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year, and Atkins was named the Running Freshman of the Year.

Event-by-event breakdown
High Jump
The Penguins had two jumpers in the top six to earn nine points in the event. Kalli Knoble finished third by clearing a personal-best height of 1.67m, and Mia Dionisio finished sixth with a mark of 1.62m.
Triple Jump
Kalli Knoble finished eighth with a distance of 11.17m on her final attempt to earn a point.
Shot Put
Olivia Mason posted a distance of 12.62m on her final throw to jump up to eighth and score a point.
Mile
McKinley Fielding broke the Horizon League record in the mile with a first-place time of 4:46.64, surpassing the previous mark of 4:48.59 by Butler's Kirsty Legg that had stood since 2012. Maggie Hopple added a sixth-place finish in the mile with a time of 5:01.95.
60m Hurdles
Lea Parham claimed the top spot in the hurdles by 0.17 seconds with a first-place time of 8.32 seconds, which broke YSU's school record. Ava Littler also earned a podium spot by finishing fifth with a time of 8.79 seconds. The previous record was 8.36 by Madison Murry in 2024.
400m
The Penguins had two of the top four finishers to post 13 points in the 400m. Tori Atkins finished second by crossing the finish line in 55.46 seconds, edging the third-place runner by 0.04 seconds and setting a new school record. The previous record of 55.82 seconds was held by Jeanna Cunningham since 2005. Melody Harloff was just 0.11 seconds out of third with a time of 55.61 seconds.
60m
Youngstown State had two runners score in the 60m dash. Ava Reeves was sixth, one-thousandth of a second ahead of seventh, with a time of 7.686 seconds. Anais Martinez placed eighth with a time of 7.70.
800m
Karis McElhaney finished third with a time of 2:12.66 to earn six points in her HL debut.
200m
Just as they did in the 400m, Tori Atkins and Melody Harloff both scored points in the 200m. Atkins placed sixth with a time of 24.94 seconds, and Harloff was eighth in 24.99 seconds.
3,000m
Jenna Razavi finished fourth with a time of 9:50.19 to highlight three Penguins placing in the top seven. Caleigh Richards finished sixth in 9:55.20, and Megan Stafford was seventh in 9:58.68.
4x400m
Melody Harloff, Mia Dionisio, Anais Martinez and Tori Atkins finished fifth with a time of 3:51.34 in the 4x400m to wrap up the meet.
