The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field teams will be well represented at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock on Friday and Saturday at the William C. Lennox Track.

Events begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Events on Friday that YSU will have athletes in include the men's and women's hammer throws, the men's pole vault, the women's triple jump and the men's and women's 1,500m. YSU will be well represented on Saturday in the sprint and field events.

YSU opened the outdoor season last week at the Raleigh Relays. A group of 12 made their Penguin debuts last weekend. This weekend, 13 men will be making their season debuts while five will be making their YSU outdoor debut. For the women, 17 athletes will be making their season debut with nine set to make their YSU outdoor debut.

At last year's Dave Labor meet, Ainsley Hamsher won the pole vault while Melana Schumaker was second and Gabbi Selman and Kaitlyn Eger tied for third.
