Jacksonville, Fla. – The four members of the Youngstown State women's track and field team concluded competition on Saturday at the Visit Jax Track and Hodges Stadium.
On Saturday, YSU had three seniors in action as Molly Radcliffe was in the discus while Nia-Williams-Matthews and Esther Solarin were in the triple jump.
In the triple jump, Williams-Matthews finished a strong 17th-place with a leap of 12.76m which came on her second attempt. That mark put Williams-Matthews into 11th place at the time. The qualifying mark ended up being 12.93m. Solarin placed 23rd with a final leap of 13.50m.
In the discus, Radcliffe had a throw of 45.95m on her first attempt. That was good enough to for a 39th-place finish in her final collegiate competition.
On Thursday, Solarin finished 33rd in the long jump with a leap of 5.86m on her final attempt. Ainsley Hamsher made her NCAA prelims debut in the pole vault.
The YSU men qualified two athletes for the NCAA Championships in Oregon as Hunter Christopher advanced in the 5,000m and Tye Hunt qualified for the long jump finals.
