Knoxville, Tenn. – The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field programs won three events and set three school records during a fantastic performance at the Tennessee Invitational which concluded on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
Winning events were Emily Bee (100m hurdles), Esther Solarin (triple jump) and Sage Vavro (steeplechase). Bee set the school record in the hurdles while Solarin had back-to-back record-breaking days setting marks in the long and triple jumps.
Bee won the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.60 seconds. She eclipsed the previous mark of 13.63 seconds set by Amber Eles on May 5, 2018.
Solarin won the triple jump with an impressive leap of 13.42m at the meet. She crushed her previous career best of 13.09m. She had three attempts of more than 13 meters and now ranks fourth in the NCAA.
Vavro capped off the meet with a run-away win the steeplechase. He clocked a time of 9:08.65 for the win as YSU took the top three spots. Finishing second was Connor Shingleton with a time of 9:25.17 and Keegan Barnette was third at 9:38.21. Vavro's time ranks seventh all-time.
Solarin was second in the long jump on Friday with a school-record leap of 6.16m. She bested her previous best leap of 6.10m on her final jump of the day. Nia Williams-Matthews was second in the triple jump with a career-best leap of 12.96m.
Durig placed second in the high jump with a career-best leap of 2.08m. That mark moves him into fifth place all-time in school history.
Micah Mitchell took second place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.84 seconds while freshman Michael Ballone was fourth at 14.32 seconds. Mitchell's time moved him into third all-time at YSU.
Molly Radcliffe took second place in the discus with a throw of 49.40m. She added a third-place effort in the shot put with a toss of 13.76m.
Luke Laubacher set a personal-best of 7.58m in the long jump to finish third. Laubacher is now second in school history in the event.
Kenzy Beckett claimed a third-place finish in the steeplechase with a time of 11:18.35.
Trenton Shutters continued his solid outdoor season with a fourth-place finish in the 800m. Shutters ran a race of 1:52.98 on Saturday.
In the men's 4x100m relay, YSU placed fourth with a time of 40.87 seconds.
Jenna Razavi was fifth in the 5,000m with a time of 17:46.85. Melody Harloff took fifth in the 400m with a time of 56.64 seconds.

- Lauren Sheehan was sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.28m.
- Coleson Kertesz was sixth in the discus with a throw of 51.08m.
- Micah Mitchell took sixth in the 400m hurdles with a personal best time of 54.49 seconds, which ranks ninth best in program history.
- Ryan Tetrick was sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.20m.
- Jaden Kirkwood was sixth in the shot put with a throw of 16.05m.
- Connor Shingleton placed seventh in the 1500m with a time of 3:55.33.
- Kalli Knoble was seventh in the high jump at 1.55m.
