Alliance, Ohio – The Youngstown State track and field team won nine events at the Raider Tune Up hosted by Mount Union on Friday at the Peterson Field House.
Winning events for the women were Kaitlyn Eger (pole vault), Kalli Knoble (high jump), Grace Rhoades (3000m), Carly Hall (mile) and Kenzy Beckett (800m). Winning events for the men were Lukas Lang (pole vault), Luke Laubacheer (60m hurdles), Mason Stephens (high jump) and Teziah Howard (400m).
Stephens had a career-best mark of 2.09m, which ranks fifth in school history, to win the event. YSU took the top four places with Nathan Leskovac placing second (2.03m), Zachary Webb (1.95m) was third and Connor Durig was fourth.
Knoble took first in the women's high jump with a season-best mark of 1.62m.
Laubacher picked up another win in the 60m hurdles clocking a time of 7.82 seconds in the finals. His brother, Garrett, placed fourth at 8.48 seconds. Howard led a 1-2 YSU performance in the 400m winning with a time of 51.11 seconds while Jarrett Gordulic was second at 51.70 seconds.
In the women's running events, Beckett took home the 800m with a time of 2:21.54, Hall won the mile clocking in at 5:10.19 and Rhoades won the 3,000m with a 10:37.74. YSUs Lillian Katsaras was second at 10:45.72.
In the women's pole vault, Eger finished first with a mark of 3.87m while Gabbi Selman was second at 3.82m. In the men's pole vault, Lang won with a career-best clearance of 5.05m while Dakota Keifer was second at 4.87m.
In the men's triple jump, Andrew Frank was third with a leap of 12.96m while in the women's weight throw, India Bailey was fourth with a throw of 15.40m.
The Penguins are next in action next weekend at the Horizon League Championships hosted in Fort Wayne, Ind.
