The Youngstown State men's tennis travels to Rhode Island for a pair of matches as the Penguins take on Bryant and Nichols College.
The Penguins (2-0) take on the Bulldogs (0-1) on Friday and 2:30 p.m. and the Bison (1-2) on Saturday at 5 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Fore Court Tennis Center in Cumberland, R.I.
YSU opened the season with wins over Carnegie Mellon and St. Bonaventure last week. The Guins beat the Tartans 6-1 and knocked off the Bonnies by a 7-0 score.
For a 2-0 singles performance, senior William Rassat was named the Horizon League's Singles Player of the Week. After also going 2-0 in doubles, Onder Balci and Ethan Dasset were named the HL's Doubles Players of the Week.
Following the quick two-match road trip, YSU returns home to play six straight home matches from Feb. 8 to Feb. 22.
