Las Vegas, Nevada - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to UNLV on Sunday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The match was delayed more than four hours by rain in the Vegas area.
In singles, Lorena Cedeno picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Hanna Vinahradava at No. 4 singles. At No. 1 singles, Eliska Masarikova dropped a tough 7-6, 1-6, 7-5 decision to Zita Kovacs.
The Rebels earned the doubles point, but YSU's Lili Minich and Yeseniia Ovcharova led 4-3 (40-0) at No. 3 when the point was clinched.
YSU returns to action on Friday when it visits Buffalo.
