Akron, Ohio – Members of the Youngstown State men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Al Campbell Invitational at Akron's Stile Field House on Friday.
The Penguins will next be in action at the Horizon League Championship next Saturday and Sunday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Men's Highlights
YSU took two of the top three spots in the high jump. Terron Taylor picked up the victory at 2.00m while Mason Stephens took third at 1.95m.
Dominic Perry had a second-place performance in the shot put with best toss of 17.18m.
In the pole vault, Wyatt Lefker was second clearing a height of 5.20m while Blake Sifferlin was fourth at 5.05m.
William Delbaugh took third in the 400m with a time of 50.19 seconds.
Luke Baun had a sixth-place effort in the 3,000m with a time of 8:48.96.
Women's Highlights
Erin Bogard earned a second-place finish in the pole vault clearing 3.95m
Lauren Sheehan came in second in the shot put with a best toss of 13.92m. Sheehan added a fifth-place finish in the weight throw with a heave of 16.52m.
Rachel Jeffries earned a fifth-place finish in the high jump posting a mark of 1.55m.
