Miriam Frass and Zachary Lao of the Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving programs earned Under Armour HLSD weekly awards following their impressive outings at the Akron Zips Classic, the Horizon League announced Wednesday.

Frass, a sophomore from Elmshorn, Germany, delivered three top-seven finishes at the Akron Zips Classic to earn the Women's Swimmer of the Week title. She placed third in the 1650 free with a time of 17:09.78. Additionally, she finished sixth in the 400 IM (4:32.92) and seventh in the 200 breast (2:23.41) to round out her impressive all-around performance.

Lao, a sophomore from Minneapolis, Minn, earned the Men's Diver of the Week award. He led the Penguins with two top-three finishes at the Akron Zips Classic. He finished runner-up in the three-meter dive, scoring a 235.40. In the one-meter dive, he scored a 258.75 to place third. 

The Penguins will return to action on October 29 as they host Niagara and St. Francis in the Beeghly Natatorium. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
