The Youngstown State women's golf team will compete in five events across four different states during the fall portion of its 2022-23 season. Head Coach
Nate Miklos announced the team's complete fall schedule on Tuesday.
"I am very excited about our 2022 fall schedule," said Miklos. "We always enjoy starting our season at Mill Creek, and this year we'll have the opportunity to play our first two events at home before we head out on the road. We have a great group returning, and we are looking forward to competing against some great competition this fall."
The Penguins will begin the fall campaign by hosting the YSU Kickoff on Sept. 3 at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio.
YSU will then play host to the eighth annual Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Sept. 12-13 at Mill Creek Golf Course. The event is named in honor of Roseann Schwartz, who was the YSU women's golf coach from 1996 until 2013. Schwartz was inducted into the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021.
Later in the month, the Penguins will travel to University Park, Pa., for the Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State at the Penn State Blue Course on Sept. 17-18.
YSU will begin the month of October with the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind. (Oct. 3-4). The Penguins will then conclude their fall slate with the Lady Blue Hen Invitational hosted by Delaware at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. on Oct. 15-16.
