Caleb Ruffin, a standout sprinter from Canton McKinley High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Youngstown State men's track and field program Head Coach
Brian Gorby announced on Friday.
Ruffin competed at the 2022 Division I Ohio Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 100m and 200m as well as the 4x100m and 4x200m relays. In the 100m at the state meet he clocked a time of 10.91 seconds while in the 200m he ran a 22.28. He helped lead Canton McKinley to a third-place finish in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:26.63 while running the anchor leg. He also ran anchor on the 4x100m relay.
He posted personal-best times of 10.68 seconds in the 100m and 21.89 in the 200m during the outdoor season.
