Lefker concluded strong seasons with a pair of 22nd-place finishes at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday at Hayward Field.
Lefker finished 22nd in the pole vault with a height of 5.00m. He cleared that height on his first attempt. He passed at 5.15m before missing on his three tries at clearing 5.30m.
Peterson placed 22nd overall with a time of 3:47.07 in the 1500m. Peterson jumped out to an early lead before the pack stretched out and a group of seven runners took control. The top-five finishers all advanced running a blazing 3:37.81 or faster. Heat two was decidedly slower with the top five running all running under 3:39.64.
Peterson will remain in Oregon to compete at the Portland Track Festival on Saturday in the 1500m. The three 1500m heats are set to begin at 4 p.m. Pacific Time/7 p.m. Eastern Time at Griswald Stadium on the campus of Lewis & Clark University.
