Conference Standouts
Sean Peterson, Nicole Squatrito and Jakari Lomax were named Nike #HLTF Athlete of the Week for their performances at the Oregon Relays and Jesse Owens Classic on April 22-23, the league office announced on April 26.

With a time of 3:40.33, Peterson set a new YSU program record in the men's 1500m on April 22 at the Oregon Relays at Hayward Field. Peterson's time acts as the Horizon League's fastest mark in the event by an astounding 13 seconds and sits as the 17th-fastest mark on the Div. I East Preliminary Qualifying List and 38th-quickest on the Div. I National Qualifying List.

Clocking a time of 2:10.52, Squatrito etched new YSU program record in the women's 800m on April 23 at the Jesse Owens Classic, uplifting her previous school record time of 2:12.18 set just one week ago on April 16 at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

On his sixth and final jump of Saturday's triple jump event at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic on April 23, Lomax leaped to a 15.27m (50' 1¼") mark to post the furthest mark among a talented field and earn the event victory. Lomax's jump sits atop the Horizon League as the conference's best mark and comes in as the 41st-best leap on the Div. I East Preliminary Qualifying List.
