Lynchburg, Va. - The Youngstown State men's tennis team had a solid start to its spring season at the Liberty Hidden Duals which concluded on Saturday. Harry Fouzas and Erik Gran went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles to lead the way. 

Fouzas and Gran capped off the tournament rallying from down 5-1 to beat James Madison's Holden Koons and Mathieu Josserand by a 7-5 count in their final match to finish with a 3-0 record. The pair earned a 6-3 win over Liberty and knocked off Charleston by a score of 6-4.

As a team, YSU won 10 singles matches and five doubles contests in its first outing of the spring campaign.

Leading the way in singles were Clement Mainguy, Nathan Favier and Harry Fouzas who each picked up two victories.

YSU returns to play on Jan. 28 with a contest at Delaware.
