Dominick Bucko hit a game-tying RBI triple and scored the winning run on Blaze Glenn's walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Youngstown State baseball team to a 4-3 victory over Oakland on Saturday at Eastwood Field.

After the Golden Grizzlies scored an unearned run in the top of the ninth to take a 3-2 lead, the Penguins battled back and earned a walk-off win for the second straight day. After Phillip Glasser drew a leadoff walk to begin the ninth-inning rally, Bucko greeted Oakland reliever Hayden Nierman with an RBI triple to right center to tie the game at 3-3. Glenn then delivered an RBI single up the middle that allowed Bucko to score the game-winning run.

Youngstown State has won its last four games and improved to 21-17 overall, 16-11 in Horizon League play and 12-2 at Eastwood Field. Oakland is now 9-21 overall and 3-16 against the conference. The Penguins clinched the series win and tied a program record with their 16th Horizon League victory.

Lucas Nasonti had a team-high two hits for the Penguins, and Glenn had two RBIs as the only player in the game to drive in multiple runs. In addition to Bucko and Glenn, Turner Grau, Padraig O'Shaughnessy and Steven D'Eusanio also had hits for YSU.

YSU starter Jon Snyder allowed one unearned run on two hits and struck out six batters over 4.2 innings. Joel Hake was charged with Oakland's second run after he handed the ball off to Conner Johnson, and Travis Perry pitched two shutout innings. Gary Clift Jr. surrendered the run in the top of the ninth but was awarded the victory after the Penguins rallied in the bottom half.

Oakland scored one run on one hit and an error in the top of the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie. Brandon Heidal hit a leadoff single before advancing to second and then third on a pair of wild pitches. Heidal was able to score when Brenton Phillips reached on a throwing error to give the Golden Grizzlies a 1-0 lead.

Oakland added to its lead with one run on one hit in the top of the sixth inning. Lorenzo Elion hit a leadoff double and came around to score on a wild pitch to push the Golden Grizzlies' advantage to 2-0.

Youngstown State evened the score at 2-2 with a pair of runs in the home half of the seventh inning. After Jeff Wehler reached on an error, Glasser and Bucko drew back-to-back walks to load the bases. Glenn and Grau then drew two straight bases-loaded walks to tie the contest.

The Golden Grizzlies regained the lead with an unearned run in the top of the ninth. Luke Malmanger drew a one-out walk and gave way to pinch runner Seth Tucker. After Tucker stole second, he was able to score on a two-out throwing error by Wehler to give Oakland a 3-2 edge.

Oakland starter Andrew Hill allowed two runs, one of which was earned, on four hits over 6.1 innings in a no decision. Jacob Wosinski was responsible for one run on one hit over 1.2 innings while Nierman suffered the loss after giving up the game-winning run in the ninth.

Elion went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored to pace the Golden Grizzlies offensively.
