Starting at the end of June and extending through much of July, the Youngstown State volleyball program is announcing its nine newcomers individually on YSUsports.com.
The final student-athlete being announced by third-year head coach Aline Scott is Isidora Sisic. Sisic is a transfer student-athlete from Novi Sadi, Serbia, who played at Chicago State last season. She will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Penguins.
Sisic on why she chose to be a Penguin: I am beyond excited to see a new state and location, meet new people, see my teammates, excel academically and be part of a volleyball program with such amazing coaches and teammates!
Coach Scott on Sisic: Isidora brings college and international experience to our group of outside hitters. She jumps well, blocks big and has solid ball control skills. She has lots of room for improvement and the dedication and athleticism to make that potential come to fruition. I believe she will a key part of the success of our group.
Bio Summary: Named MVP of the First Serbian League and led her team to a championship... Was named the best outside hitter in the Second Serbian League... Played in 20 matches at Chicago State in 2019 along with current YSU teammate Josi Borum... Averaged 0.95 kills, 0.70 digs and 0.16 aces... Had five kills in two different matches and registered 10 digs in four sets at Eastern Illinois...Her sister Tijana also played collegiately in the United States, redshirting at Division I Nicholls State and playing four years at NAIA Park University.
