Orlando, Fla. - The Youngstown State men's tennis team defeated South Dakota State and dropped matches to Creighton and ASA College on its three-dual trip to Orlando.
The Penguins lost 5-2 to Creighton on Tuesday, defeated the Jackrabbits 6-1 on Thursday before falling to ASA on Friday, 7-0.
In the victory over SDSU, YSU won all three doubles matches and earned wins in five of six singles matches.
In singles play, Hugo Morth, Matthew Krtizinger, Luke Purser, Yossi Dahan and Agustin Reyes all earned wins. Reyes, Morth and Purser each won in three-set matches.
Against the Blue Jays, Dahan picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4 while Bassem El Mekawi won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5.
YSU returns to action on Friday, March 25 when it plays host to Northern Kentucky at the Boardman Tennis Center.
