2010 (R-Freshman): Was a member of the squad, but did not see action...scout team Defensive Player of the Week against North Dakota State...scout team Special Teams Player of the Week vs. Butler, Missouri State, South Dakota State and Illinois State.

2009 (Freshman): Redshirted...scout-team defensive player of the week against Western Illinois...scout-team special teams player of the week against South Dakota State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year letterwinner as a cornerback for the Spartans...earned the Spartan Award...squad advanced to the second round of the playoffs in 2007...coach was D.J. Ogilvie...also played baseball.

PERSONAL: Parents are Tammy and Matt Romeo...has three sisters and a brother...his sister Breanne was a member of the track and field squad...his dad works on campus in Facilities Maintenance...born Oct. 8, 1990...major is middle childhood education.
