Women’s Lacrosse Assistant Coach Julia Frombach Named to IWLCA Aspire Class

Northborough, Mass. – Youngstown State women's lacrosse assistant coach Julia Frombach was announced as one of 26 coaches selected to participate in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Aspire Assistant Coach Development Program, the association announced.
Aspire, which was launched in 2024, was designed to align with the IWLCA's vision to offer an intensive, high-quality continuing education opportunity for current assistant coaches. This Aspire class features two cohorts of 13 coaches each for 2026-27.
Frombach, who was selected for the "Forge" Cohort, is in her second year at YSU, and she played a key role as the top assistant coach for Liza Oakley. The Penguins earned a pair of Mid-American Conference victories knocking off Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris. YSU beat Duquesne for the first time in program history.
The IWLCA continues to work with e.t.c. coaching consultants to plan and execute the Aspire program's curriculum, and Sarah McQuade and Julie Muller will serve as the lead facilitators. The parallel cohorts will partake in virtual and in-person programming throughout the fall semester, wrapping up in January 2027 to allow the participants time to focus on their teams and put their coursework to use during their competitive season.
