Youngstown, Ohio — Youngstown State student-athletes Rylee Sorrell and Reid Withey will serve as members of the Horizon League's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during the 2026-27 academic year. The League office revealed the organization's representatives from across the membership's 12 institutions on Wednesday.

Sorrell, a junior defender on Youngstown State's women's soccer team, will be a voting member on the Horizon League's Competition Cabinet. Withey, a junior with YSU's men's swimming program, will be a voting member on the Governance Cabinet.

Each of the League's member institutions is represented by two student-athletes on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee that will serve as voting members. The League will also be welcoming general members to this group, in an effort to provide opportunities for development to more student-athletes. #OneHL will continue to be a part of this group and continue the League's Impact & Belonging initiatives.

Horizon League SAAC participated in an in-person meeting in June and will continue to meet over several videoconferences throughout the academic year.
