Youngstown State golfers Neeranuch Prajunpanich and Maddi Shoults were each one of five student-athletes named to the 2026 Valeo Horizon League Women's Golf All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Thursday.
Prajunpanich earns academic all-conference honors for the second straight season while Shoults collects the honor for the first time following her second season as a Penguin.
Prajunpanich maintains a 4.00 GPA as a junior finance major at Youngstown State. The Samut Prakan, Thailand, native has been named WGCA All-American Scholar each of the last two seasons, and she was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team. Prajunpanich was voted the Horizon League's Women's Golfer of the Year for the second straight season while earning First Team All-Horizon League honors for the third consecutive campaign in 2025-26.
Shoults maintains a 3.91 GPA as a senior psychology major at YSU. The Circleville, Ohio, native was named a WGCA All-American Scholar in 2024-25. Shoults earned first-team all-league honors as a senior in 2025-26 after being a second-team all-league pick as a junior in 2024-25. She averaged 75.6 strokes per round with a low round of 68 while earning one individual tournament win, five top five finishes and 10 top 25 performances in 11 stroke-play events during her final collegiate campaign.
To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests.
