The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field will spend a busy three days at the NC State Raleigh Relays hosted at the Paul Derr Track and Field Complex.
The men will have 25 athletes competing in 16 events while the women will have 23 athletes competing in 14 events. Seven men and five women are making their outdoor debuts for the Penguins at the meet.
Field events begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, 9:45 a.m. on Friday and again at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Running events begin at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, 11:45 a.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday. ACCNX will have live video all three days via the ESPN app and Watch ESPN. Thursday's broadcast will run from 4-7 p.m., Friday's coverage will be 7-10 p.m. and Saturday's broadcast will cover events from 3-6 p.m.
Last year at the Paul Derr Track and Field Complex, McKinley Fielding crushed a long-standing school mark in the 10,000m by 17 seconds. Also, for the Guins at last year's meet, Lukas Lang was third in the pole vault invitational while Micah Mitchell was 10th in the 110m hurdles.
Other Penguins who competed last year in Raleigh who are making a return trip include Melody Harloff, Caleigh Richards, Kaitlyn Eger, Gabbi Selman, Ainsley Hamsher, Melana Schumaker, Trenton Shutters, Sage Vavro, Blaze Fichter and Clancy Chrystal.
