Youngstown State pole vaulters Lukas Lang (men's) and Ainsley Hamsher (women's) were named Under Armour #HLTF Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Hamsher crushed her school record to win the pole vault on Friday at the Akron Invitational. She cleared a height of 4.30m to break the previous school best of 4.13m which she shared with teammate Melana Schumaker. She now ranks in the top 30 nationally in the pole vault.

Lang set a personal-best in the pole vault for the third consecutive meet at the Akron Invitational on Friday. He cleared 5.17m which now ranks him tied for fourth in school history.  At the Akron meet, he placed second in event.

The Penguins return to action this weekend when they play host to the Horizon League Indoor Championships in the WATTS.
