A dozen select distance runners from the Youngstown State men's and women's track and field team head to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the BU Tennis and Track Facility.
All races will be carried live on FloTrack. The men will compete on Friday with the women running on Saturday.
On Friday, Ethan Cope, Brock Farris, Connor Shingleton and Sage Vavro will run in the mile while Owen Brady, Patrick Burgos and Blaze Fichter will be in the 3,000m. The mile is set to begin at 1:20 p.m. with the 3,000m set for 4:45 p.m.
On Saturday, Jenna Razavi, McKinley Fielding and Caleigh Richards will race in the 3,000m. The 3,000m heats begin at 5:10 p.m.
Earlier this year in Boston, Fielding set the school record in the mile at the John Thomas Terrier Classic.Â
