The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field teams will send members of its jumping squad to Louisville and a select group of distance runners to Boston for competitions.
The jumpers will be at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational at Louisville's Norton Healthcare Sport and Learning Center on Friday and Saturday. The distance runners are set for the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday and Saturday at the BU Track and Tennis Center.
Women's distance runners set to compete in Boston on Friday include McKinley Fielding (mile), Maggie Hopple (5,000m), Molly Hopple (5,000m), Lillian Katsaras (5,000m), Karis McElhaney (mile), Megan Stafford (5,000m).
Men's distance runners set to compete in Boston on Saturday are Owen Brady (5,000m), Beau Gorby (5,000m), Noah Johnson (3,000m), Josh Jones (3,000m), Jacob Puhalla (800m), Connor Shingleton (3,000m), Trenton Shutters (800m).
Jumpers heading to Louisville include: Emmanuel Asabere (triple jump/long jump), Isaiah Barker (high jump/long jump), Noah Crozier (high jump), Connor Durig (high jump), Brayden Green (triple jump/long jump), Brandon Hutchinson (heptathlon), Mia Dionisio (high jump) and Kalli Knoble (high jump).
The remainder of the squad will be in action at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational presented by Southwoods Health on Friday and Saturday.
