Cleveland, Ohio – Freshman Kamryn Rosa scored in the 78th minute and secured a 1-1 draw for the Youngstown State women's soccer team against Cleveland State on Thursday night at Krenzler Field.
Youngstown State improves to 2-8-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the Horizon League while the Vikings move to 3-3-4 overall and 0-0-3 in league play.
Cleveland State's Cortlin Hefty scored her third on of the season on a through ball and shot to far-left post to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead at the 29:30 mark.
Rosa's scored her third goal of the year after a turnover. From just outside the 18, Rosa delivered a bullet to the lower-left post to knot the game at the 77:37 mark.
Rosa led the Penguins with two shots while Chloe Weiland and Camille Bultel each posted shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Maya Naimoli posted two saves.
Youngstown State hosts Detroit Mercy, Sunday, Sept. 28. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
