Youngstown, Ohio – Teams from the Big East, Big Ten, Big XII, and the Southeastern Conference highlight the 2025 Youngstown State women's soccer schedule, first-year Head Coach Rich Wall announced.

The Penguins, who will play seven home games at Farmers National Bank Field, begin the campaign with three straight road contests against teams from three power conferences.

"It's a new era and a new opportunity for YSU women's soccer," Wall said. "When building our schedule, I wanted to emphasize external competition, and playing against rigorous non-conference opponents."

"This will help us learn more about who we are as a team ahead of Horizon League play and prepare us for the adversity we will face while trying to earn a spot in the Horizon League Tournament. I'm excited to get started on August 14 and can't wait to see all our supporters at Farmers National Bank Field throughout the fall season."

 Youngstown State opens the slate visiting B1G member Indiana Thursday, Aug. 14 before taking on Big XII member Texas Tech on Sunday, Aug. 17, in Lubbock, Texas.

The Penguins close out the road trip at SEC opponent Missouri on Wednesday, Aug. 20 before hosting St. Bonaventure in the 2025 home opener on Sunday, Aug. 24.

Youngstown State visits nearby Kent State on Thursday, Aug. 28 before heading to Jamaica, N.Y. to take on Big East member St. John's on Sunday, Aug. 31.

The Penguins head to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face B1G member Michigan, Sunday, Sept. 7, and Youngstown State faces Duquesne, Thursday, Sept. 11, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Three of the next four games are at home as the Penguins open Horizon League play hosting Green Bay on Thursday, Sept. 18, and Milwaukee on Sunday, Sept. 21.

After a quick trip to Cleveland, Ohio to face off against Cleveland State on Thursday, Sept. 25, the Penguins host Detroit Mercy on Sunday, Sept. 28.

The Penguins open the month of October with three straight road games at Wright State on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday, Oct. 9, and at IU Indy on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Youngstown State plays three of its final four regular-season games at Farmers National Bank Field. The Penguins entertain Oakland on Thursday, Oct. 16, and South Carolina State on Sunday, Oct. 19 before visiting Northern Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The Penguins close out the regular season hosting Robert Morris on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Farmers National Bank Field

The first round of the 2025 Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship will be held on Nov. 2 at campus sites, while the semifinals and finals will be hosted by the No. 1 seed on Thursday Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 9.
