Alliance, Ohio – The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field team had six event winners on Thursday at the Mount Union Last Chance at Kehres Stadium.
Winning events for the men were Connor Durig (high jump), Trenton Shutters (800m) and Lukas Lang (pole vault). Michael Ballone (400m hurdles) while Molly Radcliffe (discus) and Melana Schumaker (pole vault) added victories for the women.
In the high jump, Durig won with a clearance of 2.00m. In the 800m, Shutters earned the win with a time of 1:51.50. Lang earned the victory in the pole vault clearing the bar at 4.95m. In the 400m hurdles, Ballone won with a time of 52.27 seconds.
In the discus, Radcliffe had an impressive winning throw of 49.15m. Schumaker picked up a win in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.85m.
Other top finishes included Micah Carey placing second in the women's long jump at 5.68m and Owen Brady was second in the steeplechase.
