The Youngstown State men's tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Chicago State on Sunday at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
The Penguins improve to 12-7 overall and 4-1 in the Horizon League. The Cougars fall to 1-11 and 0-6 on the season.
Chicago State played the match with four healthy players. YSU earned a walkover at No. 3 doubles and won by default at No. 2. At No. 1, William Rassat and Chester Wickwire won by a 6-1 score.
In singles, the only three full matches were held at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4. At No. 4, Wickwire cruised to an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win. At No. 1, Ethan Dasset moved up for a solid 6-2, 6-3 win. At No. 2, William Rassat earned a 7-5, 6-1 victory.
YSU returns to action on Saturday when it visits Northern Kentucky.
