Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown State women's soccer program has signed 10 players to join the Penguins for the 2025 season, Head Coach Rich Wall announced.
Joining the Penguins are Camille Bultel, Ghita Haouzi, Ava Paris, Natalia Rivera Lorenzo, Kamryn Rosa, Gwen Schulman, Rylee Sorrell, Kendalyn Umbel, Baylee Williams, and Ava Yurko.
Bultel, a junior midfielder from Roubaix, France, transferred to YSU after spending two seasons at Mercyhurst. With the Lakers, Bultel appeared in 37 games with 27 starts and scored eight goals. In 2023, Bultel netted six goals.
Haouzi, a forward from Deer Park, N.Y., was named to the U17 women's Morocco National Team.
Paris, a defender from Canfield, Ohio was named first-team all-district.
Rivera Lorenzo, a forward from Justin, Texas was named All-Region and was a member of the Puerto Rico U17 Girls National Team.
Rosa, forward from Redwood City, Calif., was a four-time all-conference selection.
Schulman, a defender/midfielder from Huntington, N.Y., was the captain for the Harborfields Girls Varsity Soccer Team.
Sorrell, a defender from Lebanon, Ohio, spent last season at Toledo, and she earned All-EEC Second-Team honors. Sorrell also helped her team to an ECNL Ohio Valley South Conference Championship in 2022.
Umbel, a midfielder from Pittsburgh, Pa., was a two-time All-Section and All-WPIAL selection. She had 11 goals and 13 assists in 2022.
Williams, a forward from Waynesville, Ohio, scored 52 goals with 32 assists during her high school career. As a senior, she scored 22 goals with 11 assists.
Yurko, a defender from Latrobe, Pa., earned All-Section, All-WPIAL, and All-State honors during her career.
