Charlotte, N.C. – The Youngstown State men's tennis won two of three doubles matches and Viktor Van Craenenbroeck battled back for a three-set win in a 5-2 loss to Charlotte on Friday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
In doubles, YSU won at No. 2 and No. 3 to take the point. At No. 3, Van Craenenbroeck and Mihai Haita collected a 6-3 win. At No. 2, Ethan Dasset and Onder Balci picked up a 7-6 (4) win to clinch the point.
In singles, the 49ers won five contests in straight sets.
At No. 5, Van Craenenbroeck rallied for a 0-6, 6-4, 10-6 win for his second victory In as many days.
The Penguins return to action on March 15 when they visit Duquesne.
